One such scheme is the Ombudsman for Estate Agents (OEA). This fact file provides an overview of the scheme and also looks at the Code of Practice for Letting Agents, which is overseen by the OEA. Local Housing Allowance This fact file gives a brief overview of the new Local Housing Allowance (LHA) which came into effect in Northern Ireland on 7 April 2008. Civil Partnerships
From 5th December 2005, same-sex couples in Northern Ireland will, for the first time, be able to apply to have their relationships recognised in law by virtue of the Civil Partnership Act 2004. Once registered, civil partners will generally enjoy the same rights and responsibilities of married couples. |
