Housing Rights statement in response to recent unrest

We are deeply troubled by the recent racial violence and disorder in Belfast and across Northern Ireland. It is particularly distressing to read reports of people fleeing their homes and having their homes attacked. Everyone has the right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes. Everyone should feel safe.

We will continue to work with partners to deliver services to those most in need of our help, particularly those working directly with global majority communities. Access to our housing advice services continues to be available online and via the telephone helplines. We ask people not to access our offices at the Skainos Centre, which was recently in close proximity to a bus that had been set alight.
If you are stressed about housing issues, our helpline advisors are happy to help with your housing-related queries. Reach out to us on 028 9024 5640 between Monday and Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
